Cobham celebrated Xmas in style at The Cobham Curve last Saturday where over ninety guests sat down to a sumptious lunch and were royally entertained by ex Harlequins and stalwart of the club Billy Davison.
The food provided by club caterers Vanilla Bean was of the highest standard and the Gravesend Club President Graham Haggard commented that it was the best in the league Gareth Palmer was congratulated by Billy on behalf of the club for over 160 club meals that his company has prepared and everyone wishes him well when they move to larger premises next March.
Billy also congratulated Mr & Mrs Rodman, who were attending to see their sons 150th appearance for the 1st team, on producing such a great player for the club
Club Captain Adrian Van der Ploeg and Director of Rugby Steve Pope were interviewed by Billy on the season so far and what they want for Xmas and both agreed a win today would be the best present
Billy thanked all the club sponsors including those in attendance Mundays, Hurleys, Wellden Turnbull and Savills and Neale Andrews of Mundays spoke of their enduring sponsorship of the club as main sponsors which enhances their practice in the community
After an alternative raffle which saw prizes across all the tables and the 500 club draw Billy finished the proceedings with a Xmas cracker joke quiz
A great lunch for Cobham to finish the season at home
