Cobham pre-match lunches are an opportunity for the Club to thank their sponsors and enable their members and guests to enjoy the convivial atmosphere and excellent dining in the clubhouse.
The Xmas lunch is one of those special occasions and Chairman of Rugby Steve Heard managed the event like clock work to ensure the lunch was concluded before the 2pm kick off.
Steve ensured that not only did over one hundred guests receive three excellent courses from in-house caterers Vanilla Bean but also enabled a representative of Savills to win the heads and tails, spread raffle prizes liberally across tables, ran an auction for premiership tickets and drew the 100 club draw. This saw two winners of £1000 first prize, so Xmas certainly did come early for those lucky winners.
Gravesend President Graham Haggar spoke kindly of the ethos which binds our respective clubs and thanked the club for its hospitality in hosting five Gravesend visitors for lunch.
If you havent experienced a pre-match lunch, don't miss the next lunch on Saturday January 14th 2017 which is our inaugural 'Value the Volunteer' lunch, which will be attended by Esher and Walton MP,Dominic Raab who will also present some awards.
