Our Club

Cobham RFC is part of the Cobham Sports Association (CSA), a 2,000 + member club embracing not only Rugby but additional members through Tennis, Lacrosse and Netball, as well as social membership. The club continues to grow in size with the acquisition of new land for additional pitches, and Cobham is set to be the biggest privately run sports club in Surrey.  

We cater for the coaching and development of players from the age of five upwards, relying on a strong tradition of volunteering to maintain the high standards of rugby with which the club is associated. It is the development of young talent with the active participation of player’s families that places Cobham RFC at the heart of the local community and makes it such a force in grassroots rugby.

 

A majority of the current First XV squad are drawn from players who have come up through the mini and youth sections. The First XV currently play in London 1 South and Cobham RFC boasts a successful U21s team which forms the stepping stone from youth rugby into the senior squads.

Cobham is an ever growing sports facility and we are constantly seeking sponsorship to ensure that sport is affordable to members, and to provide quality facilities and the highest levels of coaching and support. Sponsors are rewarded with a recognised return on their investment, increased levels of exposure and in the knowledge that they are making a valued community contribution.

    Cobham RFC needs continual investment to maintain the quality and breadth of its rugby. There are sponsorship opportunities at all levels of the club, and we can create a package to perfectly suit your business.
  • What does sponsorship do for you?
    Sponsorship of Cobham rugby brings a number of benefits to your business. Studies have shown that while sponsorship of grassroots sports often reaches fewer people than traditional print and display advertising, it can deliver a much bigger return on investment. This is because grassroots-sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by local consumers. Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sport and, in so doing, contribute to the local community. With 8 out of 10 consumers preferring to believe in what a company does rather than what it says, it’s easy to see why many recession-hit businesses are choosing sponsorship and sports development as ways of maximizing the return they make on their marketing.   • Who will see my sponsorship?
    With five senior sides and a full complement of junior and mini teams, Cobham RFC is a vibrant and busy place to be on most weekends of the year. We estimate that the average number of visitors a sponsor will be exposed to in a given week varies from around 1,000 to more than 1,500 on festival weekends and for big home games. Additional exposure is achieved for our sponsors through: sponsor placement on the Cobham RFC website; at club events and lunches; ground hoardings and banners; Cobham RFC social networking; in match reports for the local press; exterior club signs on the busy Portsmouth Road; and in match day and festival programmes. In addition, our main sponsors are invited as special guests to attend a minimum of 3 events per season. Cobham RFC offer sponsors a variety of opportunities and commit to delivering a top class service, historically delivering in addition to the sponsorship agreement.
