In the history of every Rugby Club there are events and matches which form part of and remain in the history for evermore. Personally they form part of the memory of the players that took part in them.
I, like many others, had honed my rugby playing skills at Surbiton County Grammar School. At this time, mini rugby did not exist leaving young men to begin their rugby playing career at senior school under the guidance of masters who were still playing or had recently retired from playing for their respective clubs.
